Parmesan and Garlic Bread Sticks Dissolve 1 teaspoon of sugar in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Sprinkle 1 envelope [1 Tablespoon] dry yeast over water. Let stand 10 minutes. Stir with fork. Combine yeast mixture with 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup lukewarm water 1 teaspoon salt 1 to 1 1/4 cups flour Beat vigorously. Gradually add in 1 to 1 and 1/4 cups flour. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 8 to 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl and let rise about 45 minutes. Punch dough down. Shape into breadsticks. Melt butter and add garlic salt. Dip rolls into butter mixture, then into dry powdered Parmesan cheese. Bake in 400 degree F. oven for 20 minutes.
