Hamburger Soup 1 pound ground beef 1 cup chopped celery 1 cup chopped onion 1 can undiluted consomme or beef broth soup 1 can diced or chopped tomatoes 2 diced carrots 2 diced potatoes 1/3 cup pot barley 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon paprika 4 cups water Brown ground beef in a large soup pot or Dutch oven. Add celery and onion. Saute over medium low heat until soft. Drain excess fat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until barley is tender. 6-8 servings
