Salisbury Steak 2 1 pound ground beef 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup saltine cracker crumbs, or bread crumbs 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 Tablespoons milk 1 Tablespoon prepared horseradish 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 and 1/2 cups mushroom gravy In medium sized bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, crumbs, egg, milk, horseradish, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper, and mix well. Shape into four 1/2 inch thick patties. Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place beef patties in skillet. Cook 7 to 8 minutes or until centers have reached 170 degrees. Remove from skillet and keep warm. Add gravy to skillet and heat through. Serve with Salisbury steak.
